SUBJECT

Fourth Iron Bridge is located in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, in the vicinity of Crawford Notch State Park. At the time of shooting, there was a light rain and low hanging fog over the hills in the distance which helped simplify this image, making the upper steel line work more pronounced. This image really pops when printed on bare metal or white coated metal.

TECHNICAL

This image was originally photographed using large format, 4×5” negative film. A master print was developed and chemical processed in the darkroom by hand. The master print was then digitally scanned to make a high resolution image file which is further cleaned of dust and other imperfections. Additional artistic enhancement is also performed at this time. The final art becomes a blend of traditional photography and digital airbrushing techniques.
