SUBJECT

This is a bridge located in Danville, Virginia. The original image was horizontally mirrored and then vertically mirrored. The title “As Above, So Below” comes from The Emerald Tablet, and has some to do with the alchemy of transformation.

TECHNICAL

This image was originally photographed using large format, 4×5” negative film. A master print was developed and chemical processed in the darkroom by hand. The master print was then digitally scanned to make a high resolution image file which is further cleaned of imperfections and manipulated into the final composition. The final art becomes a blend of traditional photography and digital airbrushing techniques. Prints available on bare metal and white coated metal. Order a sample proof.
