Courageous Soul is a deeply symbolic pendant from my Freedom series, created to honor the bravery, resilience, and unbreakable spirit of those who risked everything for liberation.

This handcrafted piece features two carefully hand-sawed copper figures in motion-running through the woods like those who traveled the Underground Railroad under the cover of night. Their copper bodies stand out against the sterling silver landscape, symbolizing strength, humanity, and the courage required to seek freedom.

On both sides of the pendant, hand-sawed ferns emerge from the silver. These ferns represent resilience, endurance, and the quiet protection nature offered to those escaping in secrecy. The textured silver background resembles a forest, creating the sense of movement through trees and shadows.

At the base of the pendant rest a beautiful iridescent labradorite stone. Its shifting blues and greens evoke the early light of dawn-the movement when escape was safest and hope felt within reach. The stone appears nestled within the wooded scene, illuminating the path of the courageous souls pressing forward.
