SUBJECT

The structure in this image is an oar dock located on the shore of Lake Superior, Marquette, MI. The sky imaging is from the Hubble Space Telescope. The sky adds a dreamlike element to the composition and the structure acts like a dispenser, in the way that the side chutes drop down and load ships with oar. I decided to call the image “Dream Dispenser”.

TECHNICAL

This image was originally photographed using large format, 4×5” chrome film. The chrome positive was digitally scanned to make a high resolution image file which is further cleaned of imperfections. The final art becomes a blend of traditional photography and digital airbrushing techniques. Prints available on bare metal and white coated metal. Order a sample proof.
